A few months ago I did an interiors shoot at my home and commissioned my friend, Sarah of Blomst Floral, to make a floral table runner and arrangement to spruce up my home. She is so talented and really made my vision come to life. We did this shoot in late April so the florals were a perfect spring color palette that really got me excited for the new season ahead. She adds so much dimension and texture to her arrangements that is really fun! Head over to her blog and check her out! She primarily focuses on weddings, events and seasonal florals.
In November of 2017, our good friends Isaac and Annie welcomed their first baby into this world! We prayed for this sweet girl and waited expectantly for her to arrive right after Thanksgiving! Sweet Honor Rose. It has been a privilege to get to spend so much time with this sweet girl. This is a little mini session from their wedding anniversary evening when Ben and I had the privilege of babysitting her, while her parents celebrated their anniversary! Since then these friends have moved back to Chicago and we miss them dearly. We miss them walking to our house weekly, snuggling Elly, their laughs, and kissing on baby Honor. It was hard to say goodbye and bittersweet for us. Love y'all!
This is my sweet niece, Mia! She is my oldest niece and the first one to make me an aunt! I can't believe how fast time goes and that she is an 8th grader this year! She has the sweetest spirit and just truly loves being a gymnast! Anytime we are together, she is practicing her technique and I love to watch her. She is truly gifted. Mia and I just tend to get each other and gravitate towards one another on our family trips. I have always called her my mini me. I love just listening to her tell me stories and talking about things together. Her maturity stands out to me and her confidence as a young woman. I can't wait for you to see her talent in these photos. We spent a week together at the beach for my sister's wedding in late May and were able to do a few sessions on the beach. One time we woke up at 7 am and ran to the beach to try to beat the sunshine and heat but as you can tell below that Florida sunshine is always beaming! I love these memories.
My favorite style of interiors is cozy and authentic. The Sharp's (Andrew & Laura) home is all that and more. They are so intentional with their space and I always feel at home as soon as I step inside. They rent a 500 square foot apartment in the Wash Park neighborhood of Denver, the same neighborhood my husband and I live in. Each piece in their home has a story, it was given to them by a resident that Andrew works with at a retirement community, it was made by Andrew, found on Craigslist, and many more stories. Laura is passionate about cultivating a space for community, creativity, and intentionality. You will also see many pics of a cute pup name Zuri. I hope you enjoy these photos and get inspiration for your home!
I was so excited when my sweet friend Marissa asked me to capture her son & their baby announcement/gender reveal on his second birthday. Marissa and I work together and have been friends for a few years. It has been so fun to walk through this season with her as she waits for her second baby. It was so much fun to capture James playing and enjoying the Colorado sunshine. He looks so handsome in his little outfit! Let's just say he wasn't a big fan of his button down and couldn't wait to put on his birthday boy shirt. He is going to be a big brother to a sister that is due in late October! We can't wait to meet this sweet baby girl!
