Mia Louise

This is my sweet niece, Mia! She is my oldest niece and the first one to make me an aunt! I can't believe how fast time goes and that she is an 8th grader this year! She has the sweetest spirit and just truly loves being a gymnast! Anytime we are together, she is practicing her technique and I love to watch her. She is truly gifted. Mia and I just tend to get each other and gravitate towards one another on our family trips. I have always called her my mini me. I love just listening to her tell me stories and talking about things together. Her maturity stands out to me and her confidence as a young woman. I can't wait for you to see her talent in these photos. We spent a week together at the beach for my sister's wedding in late May and were able to do a few sessions on the beach. One time we woke up at 7 am and ran to the beach to try to beat the sunshine and heat but as you can tell below that Florida sunshine is always beaming! I love these memories.

Kate

When you meet Kate, you notice a few things: 1) she has the best/loudest laugh ever 2) she is full of joy to the rim and it overflows from her heart and it is completely contagious and 3) she has a big personality, in the best way! From the first time she showed up to our 1st Annual Henderson Tacky Christmas Sweater Party, in a skirt with bows for presents attached to it and yelled louder than anyone I have ever heard while playing salad bowl, I just knew we would be instant friends. She is loyal behind all measure and loves hard. We have walked through some trials together and we were in community together for a year. She shares her heart fully. She also loves adventuring and we have spent several weekends in the mountains together. One of my favorite memories is that we needed to drive the scenic way home from a retreat so she could get a photo at the continental divide. We were in a caravan following each other so we all just laughed as she got on the sign and posed! Then a few miles later we hit traffic, and since the photo opp some cars had gotten in between us. I was looking in my rear view mirrors and I was like “who is that girl walking on the side of the highway!.... Oh wait that is our FRIEND!”. She decided to get out and just come say hi to us. :) I appreciate her enthusiasm and love spending hours talking with her. You can always count on laughing until your side hurts when you spend any amount of time with Kate. She is a treasure and I love her dearly! On Cinco de Mayo this year, we snuck off to Platt Park to take a few photos before we headed off to the our friend's 3rd annual Derby de Mayo party. Her personality radiates through these photos.

Arwen

I met Arwen through church and since day one her quirkiness and spiritedness has stood out to me! She is an amazing worship leader and silly as can be! I admire that she is a strong woman who is pursuing her dreams as an actress! We have been friends for several years now and one of my favorite memories was this past Christmas we coordinated the biggest homeless care packs our church had ever done. We were able to assemble 100 packs that included: hats, socks, hand warmers, jerky, sanitation wipes, chapstick, and some feminine products. The best part of the whole pack is that we wrote notes on beautiful Christmas cards to those who would receive these packs with encouragement that God does see them and care deeply about their situation as does the body of Christ. Most individuals struggling with homelessness really struggle during the holiday season and it is very cold in Denver. I loved working with her on this mission for our city! I love Arwen's missional heart for our city and she is always willing to dive in wholeheartedly. For this photoshoot, we headed to the Maven Hotel, connected to the Milk Market in downtown Denver, to snap a few headshots to update her Big Fish profile because she got a new hair do! She is seriously soo photogenic! She made my job so easy!

Ashley

Ashley is one of my best friends. I first met her in gospel community in January 2015, right after I got married and moved to Denver. She pursued spending quality time with me and getting to know me. Our friendship progressed, we traveled to the mountains together multiple times, ate brunch at all the cute spots in Denver, drank wine on our back decks on many summer nights and eventually when her and her now husband (and one of our good friends) got engaged, she moved in with us for a few months. Ben and I always say she was the best roomie ever. She moved in during the end of our kitchen renovation (bless her heart), shared one bathroom in our house and she claims we never got annoying (don't believe her but she has a heart of gold). When she got hitched in October 2016, she asked me to be her matron of honor, which was such a privilege and honor! Through the years Ben and her husband have become super close and so have us girls, we even travel to Mexico together regularly! haha We can spend a whole week together and not be annoyed one bit. We count her and Edward as forever friends. They are totally honest and real with us and we are with them and it is an authenticity that I value very highly. I know they love us and there is no judgment but we can speak truth to one another without anyone being upset. To top it off her smile is killer and she is so fun!! This session was all fun, silliness & laughter. I loved every minute of it.
