I was so excited when Jackie brought up the idea of doing their family’s Christmas card session at a tree lot in Centennial! Jackie called and coordinated with the lot and they were just great about us doing a quick session. We just tried to stay out of paying customer’s way! I have to say that the pictures turned out even better than I thought they would at this cute little pop up Christmas Tree lot down in Centennial. This family is so adorable and I love their outfit coordination! Thanks for letting me capture this sweet and fun season of your life!
These two are some of our closest friends! Clint and Ben have been friends since middle school and he is a part of the crew that goes to annual Cowboys games around the country (this year is their 12th annual trip)! When they told us in March of 2017 that they were moving to Denver, we were ecstatic! Then earlier this year they closed on a house 2 blocks from us!!! It has been so sweet to walk over and hang out any time we want! We are so thankful to have these two in our lives. In August, we went up to our cabin and adventured around Fairplay for these sweet shots. These two are so lovable and you can tell they really love each other. It is so sweet to witness. Last month they got engaged in the Netherlands! I can’t wait to celebrate these two getting hitched!
P.S. The adorable hound in these photos is Molly. Let me tell ya she loves her parents!!
Let me start off by saying that John + Christine do cuddling in photos REALLY well. I loved capturing there sweetness as a couple during this session. I have affectionally referred to them as “the Bickers” for years so it is funny to switch to calling them by their first names! I admire and love these two’s faithfulness and steadiness. They are a couple you can count on and they serve and love others so well. I can’t say enough nice things about them! I also love their relationship and how they interact with one another, it is such a picture to others of how a strong and loving marriage rooted in Christ looks. I am thankful for that!
To get personal for a minute - last summer Christine and I met to talk budgets (something my husband and I are super passionate about). I gave her all my advice and keys to maintaining a budget that makes sense for each family that is also easy to manage. She just ate it up as a fellow CPA. A few months later she told me she had taken everything we discussed and wrote detailed notes and was able to teach and train her family how to maintain their personal budgets as well! She just encouraged me how I have left an impact on others by sharing how financial stewardship is important and training someone how Ben and I do this on a regular basis! Thank you Christine, that was very encouraging to me!
One of my other favorite memories was staying up with her until 4:30 in the morning at a women’s retreat last year because we had SO much to talk about. I finally had to go to sleep because I wasn’t making sense anymore!!
This is Laura. One of my best friends and also my Brand Consultant, Logo Designer, & the person I run all my business questions and ideas by because she is also a small business owner and I trust and value her opinion! It has been so fun to have someone to meet with regularly and to bounce ideas off of with each other and encourage one another. We met at White Whale Room to snap some shots for her creative branding session and to use on her website and Instagram. We had so much fun capturing her personality and her in her element. Branding is such an intimate process when you are starting your business because you tell all your big ideas and dreams to someone. There is NO ONE I would rather have done this process with and I truly enjoyed working on our businesses together. This session was really designed so that Laura could communicate to her current and potential clients who she is on a regular basis. Branding is a relational process and we wanted to capture this in these photos.
Laura is a student at Denver Seminary studying to become a licensed counselor and I love how she always asks me heart level questions in our friendship as well as our meetings for business. She is a gem and I am thankful we have become such close friends this past year. If you are looking to start a business or rebrand you should definitely reach out to Laura. Her process is integrative and thought provoking and is one of the best investments you can do for your business!
This is one of my favorite sessions I have done because not only are Koselig Creative's designs lovely but it also sparked my passion for working with creatives. Through this shoot, I realized I loved photographing products and being a part of cultivating the brand/image of a creative's products. After we did our initial session, Laura, the founder of Koselig Creative, communicated that she didn't envision as much wood in the background of her designs. Due to a lot of printed products being on white paper, we had to brainstorm how we could get enough contrast to showcase her work while still staying true to her envisioned style. While we were brainstorming we thought of one of our favorite coffee shops, Overt, and that they have concrete [or as we affectionally call it - CRETE] tables on their back patio. So we scooted on over there and decided to reshoot some of the work with a different style. I have included both styles of shots below. I love working collaboratively to come up with the best backdrop and props to showcase products so that clients can envision themselves working with you and understand your style.
